From The Master

Welcome To Clatskanie Lodge

I am John Paradiso, the Master for the year of 2010. For those of you who don't know me, here is a little history. I am married to my supportive wife Heather. We have two boys, Beau and Giovanni. We have adopted our grandson Isaiah and he makes a very lively addition. I have lived in Clatskanie for over 20 years but have only been a Mason for the past 6 years. It's one of the best things I have done for myself and now plan continuing the good work of the Lodge in the community.

This year I have a great group of supportive officers. We have several things planned for this year to raise money for the lodge and the community. Our biggest venture was started this year and will be completed very soon. We are installing two chair lifts up our two flights of stairs. It will be a very welcomed addition to our lodge. Thanks to many of you in the community that have supported our fund raisers this past year. Please come by and see and share our success.

We will be continuing our Bikes for Books projects with the grade school this year. It has been a very successful project for us and for the kids. The teachers have spent a lot of their time helping the kids and making this project work.

We will continue to have our 4.0 luncheons that we have done in the past. We acknowledge the students that have worked so hard to achieve this grade. We have a luncheon and give out certificates to the students.

The one project that we plan to have done this year is to finish we our roof project. It has been a long haul but the end of the tunnel is in site. With great financial help from the brothers of our lodge, we hope to have the roof on this spring.

I encourage all the brothers to come and see us again. We have lots of young blood with new ideas for the lodge and we hope to bring some of them to pass.

We new ideas and project coming this year, we hope to increase attendance and bring in some new members. We need all the help of our brothers and sisters. As a member of Wabanang Chapter, Jackie Groulx and myself plan to continue bringing the two groups together this year in doing projects and fund raisers. It's our goal that we grow together.

One of our saying is, "Food, Fun and Fellowship." By the looks of some of us, we have had our share of food. But we have lots of fun and fellowship as well. Please come and join us and take your place in the lodge.

Many thanks to all of you.
